Father’s Day Appreciation

S.A.F.E. Planning Wishes You a Happy Father’s Day!

“For better or worse….words that you typically associate with a couple getting married but looking back over the years I can honestly say that those can apply to me an dad. We have had each others’ back when no one else was around at some of the darkest times in our lives, and we have been blessed with health, happiness and a business that continues to support our families, our employees and has helped hundreds of families in some of their darker hours.S&B-new

I feel fortunate to have my dad not only as a father figure / role model but also as a best friend and business partner. I’ve learned a lot about what and what not to do as a father and business owner from him!

I have also been blessed for the past 27 years with a step-dad who has been a great friend and mentor to me. I can’t count how many times we’ve laughed while we busted knuckles working on hot rods or race cars, but I can’t use all the digits on one hand to think of times that we have been upset with each other.

blake and tomMany people aren’t lucky enough to have one good father figure in their life- I’ve been blessed with two!” – Blake Rainey, President of S.A.F.E. Planning, Inc.

“My dad’s dad came to the US in a ship from Czechoslovakia, and he eventually joined the army and had a good American life up until his death at the age of 82.  Much like his father, my dad is very creative and handy.  He can fix, repair and build anything. Therefore, as a single woman, my father and step-father are very active in my life.  If something breaks in my house, I just call ashley coburn newmy dad.  Anytime he comes to my house he brings me A WHOLE CAKE OR PIE.He might eat one piece and then leaves the goodie for me. I can’t imagine life without his help and generosity.  I’m so thankful that he is still alive at the age of 69 and hopefully he’ll be here for many years to come.  I’m truly blessed to have such an involved father in my life.” -Ashley V. Coburn, Office Manager of S.A.F.E. Planning, Inc.

“Arrington Lee Calhoun was a Navy man who was every bit of a rolling stone.  He stayed on the move and enjoyed his travels, especially when he was on his Harley-Davidson Roadster.  I have always believed I get my adventurous side from him.  He passed away in 2005.” -Sharon Calhounnavy man
